Myriam Herroelen
Osteopath D.O.

My name is Myriam Herroelen.

Shortly after graduating in 1987 as a physiotherapist, I started my current practice in Moorsel-Tervuren, the village where I was born and raised. Since then, the practice has always grown and we are now a great, powerful group of specialists, each with their own specialty.

From the very start of my career, I forced myself to look for the real cause of every health problem. It is only by removing the cause and not only by treating the symptoms that the body regains its balance.

In 1996 I graduated as an osteopath D.O. of the 'International Academy of Osteopathy' in Ghent, then still the early years of osteopathy in Belgium.

I enjoy working with all ages from babies to the elderly. You can contact me for all blocages, posture corrections, digestive problems, cranial therapy and sports treatments. I also learned 'crochetage' in Namur, a technique that helps injured muscles regain elasticity. I also work with dynamic taping.

I am the mother of a fantastic son Vincent.

I speak Dutch, French, English and German.

Osteopath D.O.

I am Roselien Vansteenkiste, osteopath, graduated in 2008 from 'The international Academy of Osteopathy' in Ghent. Since 2013 I have been working in the practice in Moorsel, Tervuren. I am adventurous, curious, eager to learn and mum of a boy called Teo. Working with people fascinates me, more over because they all have their own story. Working with my hands and my head, thinking and doing. Osteopathy takes a holistic view of the body and I use structural, visceral and cranial techniques.

Over the years, I have followed various additional courses including osteopathy in babies and children at the ILO (2013-2017) as well as at the FICO (2016-2017) and a training in kinesio taping in 2017 at the FICO. I can help patients of all ages with a special interest for the little ones.

I speak Dutch, French and English.

Medical Doctor - Chinese Acupuncture

My name is Christina Schiltz. I am a German physician and anaesthetist, and have lived in Moorsel for over 13 years now. As a doctor I have noticed that we cannot always solve all problems with traditional medicine. I personally had a medical problem where an acupuncture treatment greatly relieved my symptoms. That is why I decided to study Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM 2000-2001) in Berlin.

Acupuncture is part of the Chinese medicine. It considers the patient as a whole and looks for obstructions in the body’s energy. A lot of functional complaints and pains can be improved by balancing out the energy streams.  According to the WHO, acupuncture is effective for disorders such as headaches, migraines, nerve-related pains, back, shoulder and neck complaints as well as for hip and knee pain. As far as functional complaints are concerned, I treat stress-related problems, hormonal disturbances, allergies, digestive problems and sleep disorders.

I combine Chinese body acupuncture with Nogier's ear acupuncture to overcome smoking addiction and support weight loss.

Since begin 2022 I give mesotherapy injections with generics and homeopathic remedies for pain relief. This is a special technique of injection at the highest superficial layer of the skin with extra thin needles. It is also possible to boost the immune system with mesotherapy (microvaccination).

German is my native language. I also speak Dutch and English fluently and express myself a little in French. If you have any questions, you can contact me directly by e-mail: ch.schiltz@hotmail.com or the practice on the number 02.767.00.40

Physiotherapist

My name is Lars.

In 2022 I graduated as a physical therapist with a specialization in musculoskeletal rehabilitation option sports physical therapy at the catholic university of Leuven. After graduating, I immediately decided to start my own private practice in Leuven and I started working part time in this practice as of October 2022. In my last year at university, I followed a 2-month internship in Florida with a physical therapist that specializes in neck and back problems. This kindled my interest in neck and back problems and validated my choice to start the 4-year degree for osteopathy at the International Academy of Osteopathy.

You can book an appointment with me for neck and back problems, pre- and postsurgical rehabilitation, general physiotherapy and sport physical therapy.

I speak English and Flemish as my mother tongue. I can speak basic French but I am motivated to increase my knowledge in this language.

Osteopath D.O.

Since I was little, I have been passionate about the human (body) and how it works.

It was therefore very natural that I begun studying  osteopathy. The idea of relieving people just with my hands fascinates me. I started my osteopathy studies at the ULB. This six-year university training allowed me to acquire a complete clinical and practical knowledge in order to be able to offer you the best possible care, in complete safety and with great kindness.

During my studies, I had the chance to complete internships in an office but also in a hospital environment (notably at the emergency room at the Erasme hospital), which allowed me to open my eyes to the importance of collaboration. between different health professionals. Indeed, I particularly like this multidisciplinary approach because it allows adapted and specific care for each patient.

Furthermore, it seems essential to me to continue training daily in order to deepen my knowledge and to stay up to date with scientific discoveries.
